Santa Claus is coming to town!!!

The fabulous and amazing Karen of Karen Halbert Photography is tight with the big man in red. She was able to get him to head south to downtown Franklin and hear the wishes of many many precious little ones at her Santa mini sessions. My kiddos, well two of them, loved meeting him and it was a nice introduction for Hadley who walked away talking as if she gave him a big bear hug and told him her wishes....so funny!

In This Moment

I always want to remember these days. Days of waking up to Camden in our bed, doing "broccoli cheers" with Hadley, finally sitting down to a cold cup of coffee and enjoying every sip still.
Days of begging Camden to eat his meals, cuddling with Griffin, hanging out with Aaron after the kiddos go to bed, and Hearing Camden and Hadley say, "love you most!".
Days of telling Camden to get off of Hadley and telling Hadley to quit hitting Camden, watching Aaron throw the kids around, and cuddling with Hadley after her nap.
Days of helping Hadley take care of her baby dolls, taking Camden on bike rides, and repeatedly removing Griffin's pacifiers from Hadley's mouth.
These days of playing little people and blocks, watching Camden paint, and checking on all three babies before I go to bed at night. I truly love these days.

Fall in the Hall

On a warm Saturday, we went to a small fall festival at a local church with the Halberts. The kids had a fun time getting balloon animals, playing on the bouncy slide, and getting shaved ice!
The kids finished off the day with a few rounds of ring around the rosey!

Grins :)

Griffin smiled for the first time at five weeks old. It sure does warm this mommy's heart to see her boy's sweet grin.

A Day at the Zoo

We just renewed our zoo membership at The Nashville Zoo. We all really enjoy going for the day, or just a few hours. They have an awesome meerkat exhibit that everyone loves, and Camden's favorite might be the reptile house.
There is also an awesome playground that has an enormous tunnel twisty slide. The part Aaron and the kids enjoy the most is the area designated for younger kids. They ALL play crazy and have a great time in there. There always ends up being a few extra kids climbing on Aaron and having a blast, too.
All THREE kiddos were such angels, and we all enjoyed the first glimpse of almost fall weather.

Griffin is One Month Old!!

It is really crazy how fast time flies when you are a parent, especially to little ones who change so quickly! I am truly enjoying being a mommy to three of the most amazing children. I feel completely and utterly blessed to have this life. Griffin is a really good baby, although right at three weeks he did start having a little tummy trouble. I have eliminated several foods from my diet, including dairy, coffee (the hardest!), tomato based food, black beans, and I just avoid any known usual problem foods for nursing babies. I also have over-active let down, meaning when Griffin nurses my milk comes out too fast which causes him to gasp and get too much air, causing gas pain :( This breaks my heart, but we just do things to work on it, and as he gets older he will be able to handle it better.
I am very thankful that Camden and Hadley have handled the transition to being the big sister and oldest of three so well. The excitement has worn off a bit, which is good because they are no longer fighting over who gets to hold him and it has been a week or two since we have had any tears over it not being someone's turn. I figure that if that is our biggest issue upon the arrival of a new baby, then we are doing pretty good!
Griffin is growing like a weed! At his two week check up he weighed 10 lbs, 9 ozs, and is growing each day! His 0-3 month clothes are already getting too short!
Not much is better than a nap on Daddy! and I believe Aaron agrees that nothing is better than napping with a newborn on your chest :)
Our little Griff gruff has sensative skin, something we have never encountered with Camden and Hadley. After having two children who have never had a single rash, poor little Griffin can't wear disposable diapers. We have transitioned to using cloth diapers easily, and I actually don't mind it at all. Plus, he looks so darn cute in them!

Griffin's First Week's at Home

Life is good, Griffin is such a great baby, and Camden and Hadley are adjusting well to life with a baby brother. I am very thankful for this easy transition....especially as we prepare to move with a three week old baby. Griffin is sleeping well, in three hour stretches, nursing well, and gaining well. At his two week check up he weighed 10 lbs, 9 ozs, and was 22.5 inches long! Grow, baby, grow : ) We are officially using all cloth diapers, since our little guy was getting blisters from all disposables.
Camden also started Four year old preschool last week! His teacher is Ms. Jayna and he is in class with his best friend, Tyler.
